About Coriander Essential Oil

Coriander is one of the oldest herbs. Studies have found that human beings have been using it since 5000 BC. A native of the Mediterranean, it gets its name from the Greek word “koros” which means insect. In the past, the British mixed coriander with cumin and vinegar and used the mixture to preserve meat. The Ancient Greek physician Hippocrates also suggested using coriander as a medicine.
It is commonly used for garnishing in various cuisines around the world. Coriander Essential Oil is extensively used in aromatherapy for its countless applications. It is highly effective against many types of fungal and viral infections. It can also be used for treating muscular issues like cramps, spasms, and inflammation. Being a great natural aphrodisiac, it can help people suffering from low sex drive.
Coriander Essential Oil is rich in Linalool, which makes it effective against anxiety-related disorders. It is known to provide relief from stress and has a soothing effect on the body and mind. Lastly, it aids the breakdown of fats and other lipids, therefore helping people in weight management.
